Jason Perry is a Croydonian, born and bred. He spent much of his youth in Thornton Heath and Crystal Palace visiting friends and family, and his first job was working in a warehouse in South Norwood.
Jason was brought up on a Council estate in Hamsey Green, where his parents set up a small family business. He now lives with his wife and two children in South Croydon and runs this business himself - employing local people and serving the community.
This town has given Jason many opportunities throughout his life. That’s why he feels so upset to see the current state of Croydon. Streets and parks are neglected. Council tenants, like he used to be, are left in “slum housing”. And the Borough is bankrupt.
It doesn’t need to be that way. Jason wants to restore pride in our Borough. That’s why he is running to be Croydon's first elected Mayor.
As Mayor, Jason will listen to Croydon's diverse communities and respect the distinct character of our local areas, ensuring that nobody feels held back or taken for granted any more.
Jason has the experience, the policies and the passion to put Croydon back on the road to recovery.
There is hope for Croydon. Jason can restore pride in our borough to once again make it a great place to live, work and stay.
