It was an honour to speak at the tree-planting ceremony at Croydon University Hospital, to mark Her Majesty's Platinum Jubilee.
This tree is but a small token of appreciation to all those who gave so much to help during the pandemic.
A year ago, I was admitted to Croydon University Hospital for 10 days with COVID symptoms. The care I received was amazing, and I want to thank the fantastic staff once again.
But it is also important to remember those members of our community whom we have sadly lost.
