We have started taking action to remove several abandoned vehicles that have plagued residents on Norbury, Livingstone and Parchmore Roads in Thornton Heath for more than a decade. After years of neglect and inaction under Labour, I have provided full support to officers to explore different ways of addressing the problem. Using the council’s devolved powers from the DVLA, we launched an operation to remove these unroadworthy vehicles. This marks a clear stance that the Conservative-led Council will have a zero-tolerance approach towards antisocial behaviour, ensuring that all our residents can feel safe in their homes and neighbourhoods. I am dedicated to restoring pride in our borough by making it cleaner and safer.
